AfroCharts: Afro charts is a great site considering that it put every song to charts according to countries its a great site to get noticed and to get appreciated. It also accepts artist from every african countries they are also working on paying artist royalties according to the revenue they bring in.
Mdundo:Mdundo is good music website but little as change to make it more appealing to the public over the last ten years. The good thing about mdundo is you get paid when your earnings reach Ksh 7000 so yes they pay people. The site is also simple and easily to understand it covers East and West Africa.
Boomplay: Boomplay is a streaming platform and a distribution platform it also concentrates on high performing artist.Boomplay is a good platform but you sign up using a third party this makes it challenging for upcoming artist. Its also a subscription based service that means it brings in money directly from consumers.
There are other online blog sites especially in west africa but those ones you have to pay to be on it or send an email for consideration but sadly majority of the time they will not feature your music.
You can also try Soundcloud,Reverbnation and YouTube but it little complicated for african artist. It's not simple enough to receive a paycheck. There payment system and add promotion is not compatible with different systemS we have in africa, so unless you can outperform international superstars its not worth trying.
